2nd Architecture of Diplomacy Competition Starts with Architecture Is Frozen Music Concept

    GlavUpDK under the MFA of Russia announces the 2nd Architecture of Diplomacy All-Russian Creative Competition for young artists aged 18 to 35 years. To celebrate the Year of Music and the 150th anniversary of Sergei Rachmaninoff, the participants will deal with the Architecture Is Frozen Music concept.

    Sergey Kulikov, Chief Architect, Central Scientific Restoration Design Workshops.
</p>
<p>
     Fatin, Acting Head, GlavUpDK under the MFA of Russia.

    Zurab Tsereteli, President, Russian Academy of Arts.

    Dmitry Shvidkovsky, Rector, Moscow Institute of Architecture.

<p style="text-align: justify;">
    To develop the concept, young artists are asked to draw parallels between music of Russian composers and mansions known as architectural landmarks under the patronage of GlavUpDK under the MFA of Russia. The projects should involve using musical themes, imaginative interpretations of ornaments and decorations on mansions, depending on the musical work, and any artistic technique that satisfies the artist’s intention.

<p style="text-align: justify;">
    The competition is held so that the general public can learn about creative potential of young Russian artists, with a focus on historical and cultural issues of the Russian Diplomatic Service.<br>
</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
    Professional artists and amateurs, students at secondary professional and higher educational institutions, including bachelor, specialist and master students, students at colleges, other creative courses or schools can join the contest. 
</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
    The dates are set out in accordance with the Regulations. Applications are welcome at <a href="mailto:pressa@updk.ru">pressa@updk.ru</a> from May 1 until June 15. Projects are accepted from June 15 until August 1. The winners will be announced after September 1.
